This App is produced by Laerdal Medical. The App has been adapted for use in a clinical research trial in Singapore (“Research”). The Research is governed by a Research Collaboration Agreement (“RCA”) between Singapore General Hospital Pte Ltd (SGH) and Laerdal. Under the RCA, Laerdal collects, uses, discloses and processes personal data on behalf of SGH. We only collect information from you that is necessary for the Purposes (defined below).
For each TCPR Link SG event (a real emergency use, system check, practice, or training, etc.) when you use the App, we collect your personal data, including as follows (collectively “Data”):
During an actual emergency use of this App, the TCPR Link system collects real-time CPR performance data that includes compression rate and depth, and audio and video recordings captured by your phone during active CPR.
Data will be collected, used, disclosed and processed by Laerdal, SGH and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) for the purposes of the RCA, including as follows (collectively, “Purposes”):
Data collected will be used to match prehospital case information to hospital outcome data. In other words, SGH researchers will match prehospital data that myResponders may be part of with what eventually happened to that victim/patient when they arrived at the hospital. Researchers will use data to better understand various elements of the response to cardiac arrests in the community. Such elements may include for example the time to first compression, duration of compressions given, quality of compressions, and how the use of video impacts the teamwork between responder and 995 call takers, etc.
You may withdraw from the Research that is associated with this App at any point, and identifiable data about you will cease to be included in any active data collection. Since participation in this Research relies on your use of this App, should you choose to withdraw from the Research, this App should also be deleted from your phone. Aggregated, unidentifiable data by its nature however cannot be extracted out and will remain in the database and analysed with other data. But again, such data cannot be associated or linked with you. Please refer to the participant information sheet you signed for details on withdrawing consent to participate in the Research.
The App requires certain permissions to function properly. These include access to Bluetooth, location, camera, and microphone only during a medical emergency response or testing of the system with you. Rest assured, these permissions are solely used for App functionalities and a medical response in tantum with a call taker during a medical emergency response. We do not misuse or access any information beyond what is necessary.
We take the security of your data seriously. Our App employs industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure. In case you encounter any security issues, please report them to tcprlink@laerdal.com.
To enhance your experience, we may periodically release updates with new features, improvements, and bug fixes. By installing the App, you agree to receive these updates. You can manage notification settings within the App or your device settings.
We value your feedback. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please contact our support team at tcprlink@laerdal.com. We are here to assist you and make your experience with the App productive and useful.
By downloading and installing the App, you agree that you will have read and will follow the instructions provided in the CPRcard user guide and the e-learning for TCPR Link SG before using the App.
